Phil Dwyer Saxophone

Over the course of his 20+ year career Phil Dwyerhas come to be regarded as one of Canada’s leading musicians, both as a performer and writer. He has been recognized repeatedly with the highest awards in the Canadian music industry, and has performed and recorded with leaders in the jazz, classical, and popular music fields. After a long and rewarding period in Toronto (1989-2004) Phil relocated to Vancouver Island where he currently resides with his family. He operates the Phil Dwyer Academy of Musical and Culinary Arts during the summer, and is developing a year-round advanced music program for local, national, and international high school students. 2008 will see Phil performing, and/or recording with Ingrid Jensen, Dave Young, Mike Murley, Molly Johnson, Laila Biali, Don Thompson, Art of Time, and his own groups in venues from Denman Island BC to Santiago, Chile.
