Miyeko Ferguson
Miyeko Ferguson is a Canadian-based dance artist. In 2016, she earned her BFA in Performance Dance from Toronto Metropolitan University. Since graduating, Miyeko has worked with renowned choreographers including Laurence Lemieux, James Kudelka, Peggy Baker, Jera Wolfe, Kate Hilliard, Jennifer Nichols, and Vicki St. Denys. She has performed in works showcased at festivals such as Jacob’s Pillow, Fall for Dance North, Festival des Arts de Saint-Sauveur, Canadian Stage, DanceHouse, and the National Arts Centre. Miyeko has danced with Compagnie de la Citadelle and the Canadian Opera Company, and toured across North America with Red Sky Performance’s production, Trace. In 2024, she was part of the Dora Award-winning ensemble for James Kudelka’s The Man in Black, featured in Compagnie de la Citadelle’s Living Dances program. Miyeko has assisted Jera Wolfe on multiple projects including his production, Arise set on Canada’s National Ballet School and Stratford Festival’s Wendy and Peter Pan. Film credits include Seven Veils by Atom Egoyan and SWEAT by The Bicycle Opera Project. Most recently, Miyeko was featured in Follow choreographed by Jera Wolfe and directed by Vikram Dasgupta which premiered at the Dance on Camera Festival 2025 in New York City.
