A program of music by Viennese composers, feauturing the music of Mozart, Mahler, Brahms and Alfred Schnittke. Although Schnittke was Russian, he spent some formative years in Vienna as a child. His music on this program is the completion of Mahler’s sketch for the unwritten second movement of his Piano Quartet.

Jazz influenced music by 20th century composers including Kurt Weill, Mauricio Kagel, George Gershwin, Bohuslav Martinu, Phil Dwyer and others. This was the first Art of Time program to involve a non-classical (jazz) musician - Phil Dwyer. The goal was to explore this jazz influenced repertoire, usually performed by classical musicians, with a purely jazz sensibility.
